Address: 1600 Las Virgenes Canyon Rd, Calabasas, CA
One of the largest Hindu temples in the United States, located less than 10 minutes from the ocean, in a canyon that connects Calabasas to the coast.
The Malibu Hindu Temple is a beautiful spiritual retreat built in 1981 for the main deity of Lord Venkateshwara (form of Vishnu). It has several other shrines to additional deities, and people of all faiths are welcome to come visit and walk around to examine the shrines, statues, and various rooms of worship. It’s a very open, pretty, quiet place. The grounds also have meditation rooms, a vegetarian cafeteria, and stage for special events.
As of Nov 2021, temple hours are limited to Saturdays and Sundays, 10am to 5pm.
