Address: 29831 Crenshaw Blvd, Palos Verdes, CA
The formidable Palos Verdes Stairs offers her challengers a steep 273-step climb with excellent coastal-ocean views and miles of onsite canyon hikes.
In effort to reduce traffic congestion, reservations to park are required and must be done so in advance via the ParkMobile app or website.
Once situated, find the stairs / trailhead by the street-level bushes seen below (top row, left). Continue down the small path and walk between the two brick pillars. Follow the trail down – it will be fairly evident how to reach the staircase.
After your workout, you can either return to your car or keep hiking. The trail splinters off in different directions and skill levels. Those just out for an elementary walk can just make a loop by continually turning left which leads back to Crenshaw Blvd. Google “Rattlesnake Trail in Palos Verdes” for comprehensive hiking maps and such.
While in the area, consider checking out Terranea Resort, Lunada Bay (2224 Paseo Del Mar), Bluff Cove, Roessler Point, RAT Beach, and the super charming Riviera Village shopping district.
