“It’s Halloween; everyone’s entitled to one good scare”. Well, not much of a scare here, but definitely worth checking out if you’re a horror movie buff, wanna’ take fun Halloween pics, or just enjoy seeing famous filming locations.
The “Halloween” house looks just like it did in the 1978 movie, but is now occupied by several small businesses facing the Metro Gold Line. While there isn’t a whole lot to do here, other than see the home’s exterior and take pics, Mission Street has a super charming “Main Street USA” with cute coffee shops like Jones Coffee Roasters, La Monarca, and TeaMorrow, as well as antique stores, mom-and-pop shops, and Republic of Lucha.
While in the area, consider checking out the “Father of the Bride” house, Pasadena Antique Center, Desiderio Park, Walsh House from “Beverly Hills 90210”, Huntington Library, Langham Hotel, and the architecturally revered Gamble House.
Down below is the opening sequence of “Halloween” showcasing the house.
