Address: 935 N Vendome St, Silver Lake, CA
A steep staircase in Silver Lake made famous by the 1932 Academy Award-winning film “The Music Box” – starring Laurel and Hardy.
This is the actual filming location of the movie – where the comedy duo attempt to carry and deliver a piano up the long flight of stairs, failing miserably multiple times.
Aside from its touristy appeal, this is also an excellent place to get your steps in – marching up and down a few times like other workout stairs in the city. Cool down across the street at the triangle micro-park aptly named Laurel and Hardy Park.
While in the area, consider checking out the “Be a Lady” Mural, Silver Lake Reservoir, Barnsdall Art Park, Vista Hermosa Park, “Thriller House”, Dodger Stadium, and Elysian Park.
